It is important to weaken the creeping vine, grafting it to a less vigorous rootstock.

It is also very sensitive to frosts and consequently the secondary buds are very fertile.

This variety with a well-balanced production makes it possible to obtain wines high in tannin.
It also produces excellent rosés.
